Our Master of Science in Demography program is
one of very few such programs in the
country! More than 100 students have earned this
degree over the past 20 years!!

What do demographers do?

• Study how human populations behave and the
  factors that affect their well-being
• Study populations in terms of marriage,
  fertility, migration, health and mortality
• Conduct demographic research that affects the
  central aspects of society
• Housing, education, health care, business, etc.

Admission Requirements

• B average OR a GRE score of at least 1000
• A writing sample
• A short personal statement
• Two letters of recommendation

Demography at FSU caught my eye because of the
small program that allowed flexibility in the
learning process so each student could
"specialize" in their field of interest. The
variety of courses was great - everything from
Sociology and Statistics, to Urban Planning and
GIS. Florida States demography program is not a
