Abstract

• Cargo containers are used for a diverse number of
  products ranging from sugar to military
  equipment.
• The bureau of Transportation Statistics shows
  that in a 1997 Commodity Flow Survey, over 7
  Trillion dollars worth of goods traveled via
  intermodal cargo containers BTS.
• Companies in the transportation sector are trying
  to find ways to make their business more
  efficient, while at the same time cutting costs.
• Currently there are some technologies that offer
  a business solution, however they do not have the
  flexibility our prototype would offer.
