AIM OF THE COURSE

• To explain the strategic context within which
  CIMIC is practised in a NATO-led operation and
  teach the principles and practise of CIMIC at
  strategic and operational level.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

• Upon completion of the course the student must be
  able to
• Understand the place of CIMIC in modern Crisis
  Management.
• Explain the doctrine and associated concepts.
• Describe the CIMIC capabilities, which currently
  exist in NATO and what capabilities are planned
  in the future.
• Describe the Civil Military dimension (Civil
  Organisations included).
• Understand the co-operation with representatives
  from IOs / NGOs at strategic and operational
  level.
• Be part of a planning activity at strategic and
  operational level.
