  • Introduction
  • Why MI5 ?

4
  • Thesis Statement
  • We develop an interactive animation environment
that facilitates the integration of a variety of
    animation techniques. This environment permits
the interaction of diverse recursive and
    non-recursive objects in various Incrementally
animated scenes. Changes in the environment will
be controlled using Graphical User Interface
    (GUI) and/or Script Language.

5
  • Objectives
  • To build a user friendly environment that
    tests the following
  • 1- Performance of applied techniques on chosen
    objects..
  • 2- The deployment of different animation engines
    in a compound natural scene.
  • 3- The activation of the developed engines in
the animated scene with various levels of
    details.
  • 4- Time allocation synchronization among
    engines.
  • 5- Handling interaction between different
    systems.
  • 6-GUI versus Script language to control
    animation.

  • Tools
  • Why Open Inventor ?
  • It is built on top of OpenGL
  • It defines a standard file format for 3D data
    interchange
  • It introduces a simple event model for 3D
    interaction
  • It provides animation objects called Engines
  • It provides high performance object picking
  • It is window system and platform independent
  • It is a cross-platform 3D graphics development
    system
  • It supports PostScript printing

18
  • Problems Faced
  • Lack of documentation in the Open Inventor
  • Using IVF as the Open Inventor window viewer
  • Specific formats for the objects
