Course Overview

• Greenhouse biology is an overview study of plant
  structure and function. In the course, students
  learn the economic importance of plants, how to
  manage basic plant care and propagation as well
  as basic scientific knowledge about plants. Basic
  cell structure and function, photosynthesis,
  basic genetics and ecological importance are also
  included in the study.

Course Requirements

• Two 100 page marble composition notebooks
• 4 rolls of scotch tape (1 on hand at all times
• One 2-3 three-ring binder
• 2 pocket folders with holes
• 1-2 highlighters (different colors are okay)
• 1 pen(blue or black ink) and 1 pencil everyday

Class supplies you can bring in

• 1 pack of colored pencils and /or thin point
  markers
• 1 pack of filler paper (college ruled preferred)
• 1 bottle of hand soap or sanitizer
• 1 box of tissues
• Any small unwanted pets (see me)

Important things to keep in mind

• Students enrolled in Greenhouse 1st semester will
  continue with the same teacher and take Biology I
  2nd semester.  Students earn 1 elective credit
  for Greenhouse.  Whether they pass or fail they
  still proceed to Biology I.
• Students need to pass both the Biology Course and
  the EOC to receive credit for the course AND BIO
  I is a Graduation Requirement.
