8BOT
- There will be a Members Forum in the Youth Hall
after the service on 23 August. This forum is an
opportunity to seek clarification on areas and
issues affecting the church.

- They would like encourage members to attend as
this is an opportunity to provide ideas and
suggestions towards the progress of the church. - Furthermore, The Church Annual General Meeting
(AGM) is scheduled to hold on Wednesday 26 August
at 7.00pm. - The agenda for the day is as follows

- The Approval of Accounts for the year ending 31
Dec 2008. - Approval of the re-appointment of the External
Auditor. - The BOT, as announced earlier on in the year,
would run the AGM as it should be run for a
typical Charity and Company. The AGM will not be
a forum to air grievances members are thereby
advised to attend the Members Forum for this
purpose.

- Please note that this agenda will be followed
strictly. - Lastly, The BOT intends to celebrate the AGM and
therefore would provide refreshments as part of
celebrating a successful year for the church.
12Band Coordinator
- The following members are requested to see the
Band Coordinator in the Admin Office ASAP. They
are - Mothers Lola Akinbode, Seyi Idowu, Grace Amusan,
Idowu Ojutalayo, Farida Abdul-Kadri, Kemi
Ogunmola, Khatun Anowarak, Sherri Arahi Miriam
Dosunmu - Fathers Bode Solanke, Alade Aluko, Wale Adebiyi,
Omotolani Akanni Adebayo Shomuyiwa.
13Pre-anniversary Prayers
- Mary Band would like to invite the congregation
to their pre anniversary prayers holding as
follows - Friday 14 August at 7.00pm
- Saturday 15 August at 10.00am
- Sunday 16 August at 8.00am followed by the
Thanksgiving Service.
14Service Coordinating Unit
- All activities to be included on the Programme
should be made known to the Programming Unit and
copied to the Service Coordinator and Church
Secretary three weeks before the activity. Any
activity that is not received within this time
limit may not be entertained on the programme.
15Finance Department
- This is to inform members that the church has
been recognised by HM- Revenues Custom (Inland
Revenue) as a charity for Gift Aid purposes. This
is essentially another means of raising revenue
for the church by claiming back the tax members
paid on their donations to the church.

- Shortly, the Finance team will be carrying out a
series of presentations to raise awareness and
educate members on the benefits of the scheme and
how it works. - Secondly, for members who pay their tithes by
Give As You Earn, you are requested to ensure
that the deductions are made from your salary
with your Finance Dept.

- Likewise Tithe cards need to be brought to the
Finance Dept for updating. - New Tithe cards and Standing Order forms are now
available for new members wanting to pay their
tithes in this manner. - All bands are reminded to pay their outstanding
monthly contributions of 20 towards the church
welfare fund.
18Shiloh Service
- Members are requested to note that there will be
a special Shiloh Thanksgiving Service on 26
August starting from 12noon. - God is truly able to meet your needs, come one
come all for He is ready to grant you your hearts
desires.
19Boyz 2 Men
- The above group calls on men of the church for a
seminar on 15 August at Castle Green, Dagenham
starting at 10.00am. - The theme is Men in a liberal society
- Topic So you call yourself a man
- There will also be some sport activities.

20Training Development Dept
- This is inform the church that a vacancy now
exists within this department to work as a
volunteer admin support. - Interested members should please contact the
unit head Pro. Yinka Shomoye.
21Car Security Alert
- This is to implore all members with cars to avoid
leaving valuables in their parked cars when
attending church services.
22Volunteers
- Volunteers are needed for members who have
Project Management experience and/or members who
have Marketing experience to leave their names in
the Admin Office.

- Likewise, The Choir of CS Church (UK)
Headquarters Earlham Grove invite the church to
their Thanksgiving Service today at 12 noon. The
theme is In His presence.

- The CS Church of Zion invite the church to their
23rd Anniversary Thanksgiving Service on16 August
at 11.00am. Martha and Daniel Band will be
representing the church.
27Spiritual Revelations during last weeks Service
- The Lord says that we should pray with Psalms 46,
47 and 49 to ask for all our hearts desires
during the month. The Lord is promising that our
joys will be filled next month. - The Lord is commanding that we should all
contribute in all ways towards the remaining
anniversaries and the Church Harvest. By doing so
He will open all the doors that have been shut
before us. May the peace of the Lord never depart
from us all. Amen
28Spiritual Revelations for the Month of August
- The Lord says that whatever difficulty one may be
facing this month, we should remember that there
is nothing impossible for Him. - Travellers should pray against accidents and
seeks Gods directive before embarking on any
journey.

- The Lord is requesting that we should be faithful
and prayerful during the month. - The Lord is promising restoration especially
financial restoration for things lost in 2008.

- The Lord says we should be thankful and joyful
this month. - Members of the Youth Fellowship are advised to be
careful in all their ways and to ensure that they
do not adopt the ways of the world.

- The elders are to continue to pray for the spirit
of unison and to continue to carry the cross of
Jesus Christ irrespective of the challenges the
church may go through.
