  • National Strategic Assessments (NSA) are
produced on behalf of the Association of Chief
Police Officers (ACPO).  It provides an
assessment of current, emerging and long-term
crime and crime-related issues that impact on
policing in the UK.  It is based on the findings
of force assessments, together with research and
analysis of other Governmental publications and
statistics, academic research and other open
source information.  The NSA is published
annually in April, with an update report
published in October, focusing on emerging
    issues.
  • Business crime is now one of the sections
    included in the NSA.
  • The findings of this National Mapping Exercise
will now inform the 2010 NSA to be published in
    April 2010.
