Resources at Ferris Glen Public School
  • Principal Ms. Gay Smylie is responsible for
    following Ministry of Education and Near North
    Board of Education directives regarding special
    education. She chairs the IPRC meetings and
    provides guidance to parents for informational
    resources.
  • Special Education Teacher Mr. Charlie Grose
    creates the IEP in conjunction with test results
    from Board specialists and the classroom teacher.
    He suggests program modifications and
    accommodations is a member of the IPRC. Mr. Grose
    may provide student support in class or small
    group setting.
  • Your Childs Classroom Teacher plans and delivers
    the educational program, as specified by the IEP.
    He or she communicates with parents, the
    resource teacher, and Board specialists.
