Title: 4'7 Drawing Circle Graphs
14.7 Drawing Circle Graphs
A circle graph is used when we can show all of
something
Example In a class there are 6 people with
blonde hair, 8 people with black hair, 12 people
with brown hair and 2 multi-coloured. Create a
circle graph to show this data.
2Step 1 Create a chart to organize your data and
record your calculations (you need 4 columns and
6 rows)

Step 2 Fill in the headings
Step 3 - Fill in the different colours and number
for each.
Step 4 Total the numbers
Step 5 Change each number to a decimal and fill
in the decimal column. Example
.21 Total should be close to 1
Step 6 Change each decimal to a percent - .21
21 and record it. The total should be close to
100.
3Step 7 Use a percent circle to fill in the
percent for each hair colour and write the color
and percent in each sector
Hair Colour in 7-2
Black 29
Blonde 21
Multi 7
Brown 43
Step 8 Write in a title for the graph.
