Log into your Endnote Web account

The references currently stored in your Endnote
Web library are displayed

Adding a new reference manually. 1. Click on the
Collect tab 2. Click on New Reference 3.
Select the reference type e.g. journal article
or book 4. Add the details of the item to the
form e.g. from the information on WebCat 5. Click
on Save when you have finished.

Importing a file of references
  • Search on ASFA or GeoRef to find references
  • Export the references as a text file
  • Import the references into EndNote Web

Carry out your search of the database using the
tips learnt in the earlier sessions.

and select the file ie the text file containing
your references 4. Click on Filter and choose the
filter for the database that you found the
references in e.g. ASFA (CSA) 5. Choose the group
that you want the references added To 6. Click
on Import

In Endnote Web. Tick the boxes beside the
references that you want to appear in your
bibliography and choose Copy to Quick List

Bibliography 2. Choose the Quick List 3.
Choose the Harvard Bibliographic style 4.
Choose the RTF (rich text file) file format 5.
Save the file.

  • Save the file.
  • The file is given the default name
    exportlist.rft but you can change this if you
    want.
  • You can decide where to save the file
