- WIA Adult Program
- Roughly a 50 fund increase nationwide
- The first priority is increased training
- The second priority is increased supportive
services - Administration and overhead costs are allowable
but are to be minimized to the extent possible

- WIA Dislocated Worker (DW) Program
- Funding is doubled nationwide
- Again, the top priority is expanded training and
services - Where are the jobs and best training options in
the current economy?

- WIA Youth Program
- Funding is more than doubled
- The top priority is a summer program focused upon
work readiness - Again, services, including youth work experience
wages, are to be maximized and admin and overhead
is to be minimized - Eligibility is expanded to age 14-24 years but
otherwise stays the same.

- EDD and Other Partners
- Most One-stop Career Center partners also have
increased funding - How will expanded partner services connect to the
Lake County Center? - How will jobs created by the ARRA connect to the
Lake County Center?
9The Stimulus Bill and This Request for Proposal
- When the increased WIA amounts for Lake County
are known, this RFP will be amended to include
those amounts. - Additional questions and selection criteria may
also be added if needed. This will also be done
by RFP amendment. - Be sure to complete the intent to bid form and
check the NCCC website to stay current!

single customer common to the WIA and
Wagner-Peyser Act, Trade Adjustment Assistance,
and Veterans Employment and Training programs.
