- It can be chemicals you find in a laboratory, the
office OR the soap you wash your hands with.

- Manufacturer or companys name and address
- Hazards and dangers

Administrative Services. - Information is updated once a year.
10MSDS
- Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) are safety
documents. It lists the physical and health
hazards of a chemical.

- Product name manufacturers name
- Hazardous or dangerous ingredients
- Physical and chemical characteristics
- Fire and explosion hazard data
- Information on what happens if it is mixed with
other chemicals - Health hazard data and information
12First Aid
- The MSDS explains what to do in an emergency.
- Contact 911 in an emergency situation.
13Chemical Product Spills
- Only clean up a spill if small and the product
will not be harmful to you while you are cleaning
it up. - Call Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) at
206-543-0467 if you need help deciding whether to
clean up a spill or not.

- Go to a sink and flush the area with water for at
least 15 minutes. - Go to the hospital emergency room or doctor.
- If necessary call 911.

15Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Reducing or eliminating the hazards of a chemical
product (such as increasing air circulation or
switching to less hazardous products or
procedures) is the best way to provide personal
protection. -
- Examples gloves, aprons, long sleeve shirts,
goggles, safety glasses, etc.
16Chemical Waste Disposal
- Do not dispose of any containers (empty or full)
that at one time contained a chemical product.
Contact your supervisor.
17Mandatory Training Completed
- You have completed the mandatory training.

can give you the form.
