Overview of the WZ Safety Grant Program
  • Sect 1409 SAFETEA-LU nonprofit and not-for-profit
    organizations to provide training to prevent and
    reduce work zone injuries and fatalities
  • Area 1. Construction worker training
  • Area 2. Guideline development
  • Area 3. Guideline training for State and local
    governments, transportation agencies, and other
    groups.
  • 4 years and subject to the Federal-aid highway
    obligation limitation. The Federal share is 80.
