- Non Profit Organisation created in 1970 by 5
European National Maintenance Societies as a
factual Association. - On January 18, 2003, the Council decided to
transform the factual Association into a
Vereniging Zonder Winstoogmerk, a non-profit
Association under Belgian law. - New name EFNMSvzw

10The EFNMSvzw Objectives (1)
The EFNMSvzw objectives are the improvement of
maintenance for the benefit of the people in
Europe, by being an umbrella organisation for the
non-profit National Maintenance Societies in
Europe.
11The EFNMSvzw Objectives (2)
The results of the studies and activities of
the EFNMSvzw shall be made available for general
use by the members.
12The EFNMS Organisation (1)
The General Assembly is the governing body.
It is composed of one official voting delegate
from each of the (sixteen) National Member
Societies, and one non-voting delegate from
each of the (three) Associate Member Societies.
13The EFNMS Organisation (2)
The (Honorary) President Mr. Guido Walt from
Switzerland is the current President, for the
term 2005 - 2007. The Chairman Mr. Hans
Overgaard from Denmark is the current
Chairman. The Board of Directors members are
elected for a three year period Hans Overgaard
(Denmark, Chairman), for the term 2005 - 2008 Wim
Vancauwenberghe (Belgium, Treasurer) Bryarlie
Dear(France) Mirta Baranovic (Croatia) Janez

One of the basic ideas of the EFNMSvzw is to
support its Member Societies in the exchange of
knowledge and experience in the field of
maintenance in Europe.
- How
- Two General Assembly meetings each year, where
representatives from the Member Societies
have the possibility to meet and discuss
relevant topics. - The EUROMAINTENANCE Congress every second year.
A European and World platform for the
members and the non-members. - In 2006 in Basel as a EUROMAINTENANCE 2006
event and a WORLD maintenance - congress
- The EFNMS Web Site (www.efnms.org), including a
lot of information about EFNMS - and also links to all the Member Societies
and their activities

One of the basic ideas of the EFNMSvzw is to
support its Member Societies in the exchange of
knowledge and experience in the field of
maintenance in Europe.

members from each Member - Society are invited to participate,
- Certification of European Experts in
Maintenance Management, and as Maintenance - Specialists where each Member Society can
offer this possibility to its members, - Benchmarking by using a number of Key
Performance Indicators for maintenance - activities within all branches,
