• Formed by the National Alliance of State Pharmacy
  Associations (NASPA).
• Designated and listed (Dec 2008) by HHSs AHRQ as
  a PSO.

APMS Goals

• To encourage voluntary reporting, conduct
  analysis and share aggregate information to
  improve quality of care provided by the pharmacy
  workforce.
• To provide peer review protections to pharmacists
  reporting quality-related events through APMS.
• To provide a revenue stream for state pharmacy
  associations so that we can continue to support
  the pharmacists in patient safety initiatives.
• To demonstrate the critical contributions
  pharmacists make to healthcare.
