    framework of an interdisciplinary network

Features of the programme
  • promoting of a modern student-centered teaching
    programme based on achievement of general and
    specific competences in the nano field
  • alternation of intensive teaching modules with
    practical works in specialized laboratories
  • interdisciplinarity
  • credits (120 ECTS credits in total) will be
    granted according to the regulations of
    University of Bucharest, national and European
    rules regarding the ECTS system
  • flexibility, 66 of the curriculum being optional
    (chosen by the student)
  • the Masters degree is awarded after obtaining
    120 ECTS and defending a public presentation of
    the dissertation in front of an interdisciplinary
    commission of University of Bucharest.
  • Admission requirements B.Sc. degree (Exact
    and natural sciences, engineering, medicine,
    agronomy) and successful admission exam.
  • Admission exam consists of 2 tests
  • 1. A subject from one of the three disciplines
    below (free choice)
  • Quantum mechanics
  • Chemical thermodynamics and
    kinetics
  • Biomolecules and molecular biology
  • 2. Interview
  • Features of the curriculum that insure the
    interdisciplinary character of the master
    programme in the field of nanosciences
  • - each student will follow 3 course units from
    the compulsory subject area given by the 3
    faculties, such as at least 2 are from different
    faculties (for instance, 1 course unit from
    physics 2 course units from biology or 1
    physics 1 biology 1 chemistry course unit)
  • - the students are obliged to chose the 3
    optional course units such as at least

Curriculum
  • An I, semestrul 1 (30 ECTS)
  • Modul discipline introductive (Saptamanile 1-7),
    total 15 ECTS
  • Fiecare student, in functie de profilul diplomei
    de Licenta, va urma 2 dintre disciplinele
    introductive
  • Mecanica cuantica (Facultatea de Fizica) 5
    ECTS
  • Termodinamica si cinetica chimica (Facultatea de
    Chimie)- 5 ECTS
  • Biomolecule si biologie moleculara (Facultatea
    de Biologie) )- 5 ECTS
  • Modul discipline obligatorii I ( Saptamanile
    8-14), total 12 ECTS
  • Fiecare student va parcurge 3 discipline din
    Pachetul de discipline obligatorii oferit de cele
    3 facultati. Exista obligativitatea de a alege
    cele 3 discipline astfel incat cel putin doua sa
    fie de la facultati diferite (de ex 1 de la
    Fizica 2 de la Biologie, sau 1 de la Fizica
    1 de la Biologie 1 de la Chimie) pentru a se
    asigura caracterul interdisciplinar al
    pregatirii.
  • Studiu individual tutorat - 3 ECTS
  • An I, semestrul 2 (30 ECTS)
  • Stagii practica (2x 3 saptamani), (Saptamanile
    1-6), total 12 ECTS
  • Fiecare student va face 2 stagii de practica, in
    2 laboratoare diferite (din facultati sau
    institute partenere)
  • Saptamana 7 va fi dedicata seminariilor de
    prezentare a rapoartelor de stagii, in fata unei
    Comisii interdisciplinare, formate din cadre
    didactice si cercetatori.
  • Modul discipline optionale I ( Saptamanile 8-14),
    total 15 ECTS
  • Exista obligativitatea de a alege cele 3
    discipline astfel incat cel putin 2 sa fie de la
    facultati diferite.
  • Modul disciplina la alegere - 3 ECTS
  • La alegere, un curs din categoria management,
    limba straina, comunicare din Oferta UniBuc
    (alte facultati decat Fizica, Chmie, Biologie).
  • An II, semestrul 3 (30 ECTS)
  • Modul discipline obligatorii II (Saptamanile
    1-14) total 12 ECTS
