Proposal for 100,000 plastics bottle collection
(Conservation month 7th 21th July 08)

• Objective if this event
• Is to encourage people from secondary schools and
  republic poly students to understand the
  importance or recycling and doing their part by
  recycling plastic bottles
• Reach out to secondary schools to alias with them
  and do a joint event.

About this event

• Alias with secondary school to collect a total of
  100,000 plastics bottle in 2 weeks time
• Having a inter school competition to make sure we
  achieve the optimum results.
• Prizes will be awarded to the school with the
  highest collection rate within 1 week.
• Educating the secondary of the importance of
  conservation and teaching them the ways that they
  can help to save the earth.

Budget for the whole event

• Estimated budget about 4800
• Money to be spent on publicity posters/fliers
• Maybe transport of the water bottle back to RP
• Prizes and vouchers for individual school winners
• Further detail of the budget will be discuss in
  the individual department when event is approved

The flow of this event

• Each school will kick of the event at the same
  time (dates to be decided late)
• Once they have collected all their bottles they
  can send it over to our campus.
• Storage place I hope we can use one of the Agora
  hall
• Once each school finish collecting and send to
  RP, they should be indicating how many bottles
  are there in total and its easier for us to
  tabulate.

The flow of this event

• On the 21st of December, count the amount of the
  total bottles we have collected. (target 100,000)
• Since the storage is in Agora hall, we can make
  use of the venue to build something (it can be a
  building, a icon etc)
• Then we can take a picture and then post on our
  blog and send a mass mail out to everyone in RP
  to show the success of this event.
