  agreement between FDOT and BCTED
• LAP agreement will be for a Design Build (D/B)
  project that will install ATMS infrastructure
  within the TSMO Network limits
• TSMO Consultant will work with BCTED, BCT and
  FDOT to create RFP for D/B project

TSMO

• TSMO is an organizational shift from
  transportation system outputs (ex. Lane miles
  resurfaced) to mobility outcomes (ex. Travel time
  reliability) that maximize the efficiency of the
  system.

• Performance is known in real-time
• Real-time network operations
• Rapid response maintenance of signal system
  infrastructure on segments
• Ability to make better investment choices

Active Operation and Management of TSMO Network

• Freeways operated and managed by FDOT through ITS
  program
• Arterial operations and management by Broward
  County Traffic Engineering Division
• Operation resides in Broward TMC to facilitate
  synergy with FDOTs freeway management

TSMO in Broward County

• A Broward County TSMO Task Team was formed
• Members include Broward County Transit, Broward
  County MPO, Broward County Traffic Engineering,
  FDOT Planning, FDOT Traffic Operations, FDOT OMD
• The Broward County TSMO Task Team have had
  regular meetings to develop and manage the TSMO
  program
• To date, the Team has accomplished the following
• Defined the TSMO Network and targeted user
  groups
• Defined performance measures to be tracked
• Defined a reporting schedule (quarterly)
• Measured performance on the TSMO Network in July
  and October 2009
