Moshe Shaked Peretz I joined the photography
course because I love taking pictures. The
picture I connect to best is the photograph of
the house that was hit by a Kassam rocket. I
live in Sderot and my city is important to me,
so the security crisis saddens me. This
photograph represents how the government has
abandoned the residents of our city.

Orr Abutbul This year our group went outside to
take photographs and I saw new views of Sderot
and met people I had never seen before, even
though Ive lived here my whole life. The
photograph that speaks to me most shows a boy
playing with a stick. I think it expresses how
Sderots children play some play with
computers and some just play outside in their
neighborhoods.

Tahel Alharar In our photography course we went
out to take pictures even on Sderots worst days.
I found the temporary rocket shelters with
graffiti very interesting, as well as other
photographs with writings because, in my
opinion, they show Sderots situation best. The
most important photograph, for me, is of the
religious man with the text Am Israel Hi (The
Nation of Israel Lives) behind him because we
need to pray for Sderot.

Moria Abargil Our exhibit is called Wandering,
and thats what we did we wandered through
Sderot and documented our everyday life. One of
our goals was to interact with people through
photography. In the beginning I was too shy but
with time I got used to photographing people and
learned to communicate better.

Adi Cohen I came to the photography course at
the beginning of the school year. We went out
to capture life in Sderot I saw fear and
desperation but also fun and happiness. While
taking photographs I got to know new people and
to understand what the residents of Sderot are
going through. It was a very strong experience.
