11Conclusions
- The crisis has a strong negative impact on RD
and innovation all over the world - Despite the initial decrease in business RD
expenditure, it seems that RD and innovation
enjoy sufficient financial support because of an
increase of public expenditures - Particularly, government spending on
nanotechnology have increased during the last
year in many OECD members and Russia
