About Anthony Horowitz

• Anthony was born in Stanmore 1956 to a very
  wealthy family. He hardly ever saw his parents as
  he was cared for by nannies, butlers and
  servants. He wrote his first novel at the age of
  eight years old! At the age of eight his parents
  forced him to go to boarding school. Even though
  he did not know it this was the start of his
  writing career !
• Today he spends up to ten hours a day in his
  luxury garden shed writing his novels and he is
  thought to be Britain's busiest writer. He has
  also written some episodes of the famous TV
  series Patriot , Midsomer Murders, Foyle's War
  and many many more!

Stormbreaker

• In 2006 Anthony Horowitz book became a film. It
  cost 25 million pounds to make and took 6 months
  to film. When it finally hit the big screen it
  was a massive hit in England and the US!

Alex Pettyfer

• The actor who plays Alex Rider is strangely
  enough another Alex. Alex Pettyfer is the actor
  in Stormbreaker. He was picked out of another 500
  boys who auditioned for the part.
