• Panels main Purposes
• a. To collect first-hand information about
  excellent teaching practices through classroom
  observation.
• b. To approach students directly and collect
  their opinions.

Classroom Observation My Experience

• The easiest part of the whole TEA exercise I did
  not have to do anything extra.
• You would hardly notice there are people
  observing your lesson.

Preparing for Class Observation

• Choose normal classes showing if possible a
  variety of teaching situations (lectures,
  tutorials, seminars, etc.).
• Be consistent Match what you do in class with
  what you say in your portfolio.
• Be yourself. Do not try to change the contents of
  the class or your teaching style. Show the panel
  what you normally do rather than what you can do.

• Brief the panel beforehand.
• a. Tell them about the lessons objectives and
  learning outcomes.
• b. Provide the bigger picture The relationship
  between the lesson observed, the course you are
  teaching and the approach you choose to teach.
