Acute oral toxicity
There was no case of abnormal reaction or death
by single oral administration of 5000mg/kg of
IONPURE to mice.
Primary skin irritation
No skin irritation response was observed on
albino rabbits during or after the skin
irritation test suggested in the OECD chemical
Substances Toxicity Test Guidance(1981).
Mutagenicity
The mutagenicity test based on the bulletin No.77
of the labor Ministry of Japan(9/1/1988) resulted
in no increase in reverse mutation and
mutagencity was confirmed to be negative.
Skin sensitization
The skin sensitization test using maximization
method using guinea pigs at 10 and 1 of
sensitization inducing concentration in 48-72
hours demonstrated no skin sensitization.

Safety
There is a possibility that active oxygen
decomposes resin due to its decomposing
peculiarity of general organics including oxygen.
An several occasions, bisphenol A which a kind of
endocrine-disrupting chemicals is generated when
the resin such as PC is decomposed. And then care
should be taken in handing with this type of
antimicrobial agent. On the other hand, Silver
elution type does not decompose the organics
including resin, so such hazardous chemical is
not generated.
