• Flag raising/posting process
• Whenever an organ donation is made at St. Johns
  Hospital, the Gift of Hope representative
  contacts the Security Department.
• The Security Department then does the
  following
• 1) Raises a Donate Life flag outside the
  Emergency Department. The flag flies for 72
  hours and then is given to the donors
  family/loved ones.

• 2) Security also contacts the IT Department (via
  both email and phone). The Web Specialist then
  posts a flag image on the Intranet page.
• The Web Specialist uses Dreamweaver software to
  post the html file.

The flag icon remains on the Intranet for 72
hours and links to a page that provides staff
with information on why the flag is flown and
background on Gift of Hope.
