- Complete appeal form
- Attach an unofficial transcript
- Attach documentation to support appeal
statements. - If aggregate hour appeal, attach degree
completion plan indicating remaining courses and
estimate of graduation quarter signed by advisor.
13I was depressed because my dog died last term
Nobody told me I had to make satisfactory
progress
I couldnt go to class because I was working
three jobs to pay for my stereo and ski trip
But I only need 60 more hours to get my degree.
I just couldnt settle on a major
My great aunt died ten years ago. I havent
recovered yet!
So youre telling me I cant go to school!
14Satisfactory Academic Progress Reinstatement
- Complete on-line Reinstatement request form.
- Submit form.
- Student must have
- Earned 67 of courses in which enrolled while not
eligible for fed aid and - Successfully completed 8 credit hours and
- Have attained a minimum 2.00 UG GPA or 3.00
Graduate GPA.

16Incomplete Grade
- Example Student has 36 quality hours and a 2.05
cumulative GPA with 74 quality points. One three
hour course has been graded IB thus 9 of the
74 quality points are based on the Incomplete
course. GPA calculated by SCT SIS includes the I
grade until the grade is changed.
17Incomplete Grade (2)
- If I-B is resolved as a B - no problem.
- If it becomes an F - student has a 1.80 a 2.00
is required. - Problem when I grade is given in Spring or
Summer. - Resolution required in Fall.
- Aid determination made prior to resolution.
- Delayed resolution may permit erroneous payment
for intervening quarters which must be recouped.
18Double Majors
- Students limit on hours is based on primary
major. - Students should focus on primary major.
- Student remains eligible for Grants until
requirements for first program are met. - Student only eligible for loans after first
program requirements are met.
19Developmental Course Completion
- GOAL Complete Developmental requirements within
first 30 credit hours attempted. - REASON Student cannot advance to next level of
aid eligibility until developmental courses are
completed. - RESULT Student is limited to first year loan
limits until out of Developmental Program. - 315 students currently in Developmental
