The impact of its specialist status is felt
throughout the institution and the substantial
investment made in new technology has made a very
significant contribution to increasing the
opportunities and raising the achievement of all
students

INFRA-STRUCTURE

  • Around 250,000 spent on New Technologies
    projects this summer, including
  • Replacement servers
  • 11 new Interactive Whiteboards (IWBs)
  • 18 new digital projectors fitted
  • 20 rooms fitted with quality sound systems
  • Media suite with 12 high spec PCs
  • TB22 ICT room (32 laptops)
  • A few hundred additional / replacement PCs and
    laptops on both campuses
  • Additional sets of Qwizdom Acti-expression
    handsets

    online portfolio for form tutor to access as
    needed

  • Expanding more into KS3/4, more clubs and groups
  • Increased diversity of activities being used by
    various staff student voice
  • Looking at new VLE for September 2009 to allow
    us to support new curriculum will also allow
    parental access to data via SIMS.
  • Strengthen links with primary cluster aim for
    seamless transition 1 login for all stages!
  • Need a more structured approach to VLE

SECTION 1 Confidence in using ICT for
e-learning 4 very confident, 3 quite
confident, 2 OK, 1 Never really used it
  • Most staff seem much more confident using the ICT
    resources they have.
  • Key priorities for 2008 2009 are
  • Interactive Whiteboard training, especially for
    faculties that havent had them before
  • More training in using My Classes, in and out of
    lessons
