• Rascal flatts were blaring throughout the house,
  my ears were ringing.

  you will only be seventeen and you cant sign a
  legal document yethave you thought about that?

• Even though I was six I was still shocked at the
  fact that someone could get bashed on that hard
  by their own parents especially at something as
  pettiless and unimportant as a pee-wee soccer
  game.

• As I looked up at the score, then to around to
  the rest of my teammates I felt an anvil of
  disappointment fall upon me unable to stand tall
  with my head up.

  corner when the coach was waiting.

  rang for third period. Multitasking is something
  I am still trying to master but I just had
  trouble copying the notes, listening to Mrs.
  Wallace and having my eyes on the clock.

• I enjoy playing (softball) for the fun of it and
  because I am getting pretty good at it. During my
  sophomore year, I became a very dependent player.

• My eyes wandered to the teacher, she shot a look
  that burned straight through my eyes until it
  seared the back of my skull, that said Ill get
  you, if its the last thing I do I quickly went
  back to my paper. The laughter played over in my
  ears, like an off-tune orchestra.

• Finally the bell rang, and the other kids, being
  long finished with their quizzes left me alone.
  The teacher stood up slowly, and began to slowly
  walk towards me. The vibrations from her heavy
  steps rattle the windows. I shook with fear.
