What is the State Submission Plan?

• Introduced last Fall.
• Excel Workbook listing all File Spec and Data
  Group requirements for 05-06 SY.
• The submission plan will provide
• States with a submission schedule they can use
  internally.
• ED with a clear understanding of what files
  states will (and will not) be submitting for
  2005-06.
• Partner Support with the information necessary to
  provide targeted technical assistance and
  outreach.

• General Instruction Worksheet
• Ability to update active LEA and SCH Number
• Access to supporting worksheets by Submission
  Period

Plan Updates - Hints, Tech Tips

• Updates? Send PSC updated plans as needed.
• Keep Excel Worksheets intact when updates are
  sent to PSC.
• When a file cannot be submitted indicate this
  with a 0 (Zero) in the How Many LEA or SCH
  will you submit column.
• Month/Year the data will be provided is
  guidance this can be modified based your
  states availability.
• Gray Cells? Level not needed.
• Light Blue Cells? Based on previous years not
  available metadata.
• Green SEA columns for SEA Use not part of
  what EDEN utilizes.

EDFacts Reporting
State Plan Execution Report (LEAD004)

• Provides information on a state's submission
  progress compared to the state's planned
  submissions.
• Currently auto-emailed to states every two
  weeks.
• The state planned submission information is
  loaded from the "2005-2006 EDEN State Submission
  Plan Workbook" that states submitted to the
  Partner Support Center.
