Maintaining Academic Honesty

    collaboration is acceptable.
  • Be sure to cite your sources correctly. Take care
in directly quoting another text, paraphrasing
someone elses ideas, and using graphics from a
    web site.
  • Check out the citation information in the
    library.
  • Refuse to aid another students dishonest
behavior. Refuse to provide work for copying.
Your participation will be considered cheating.
  • Avoid using online translators for foreign
    language courses.

Remember!
  • The offenses stay in your file and accumulate
    throughout your high school career.
  • The offenses do NOT reset at the beginning of
    each school year.
  • In college, cheating is not tolerated. There are
no second chances. The first offense is the only
offense, resulting in expulsion from the
    university.

16
  • We want Hanover High to be a place of learning
and growth. Help us maintain the high academic
standards that will prepare you for life after
    high school.
