• Limoux is a small quiet town in the south of
  France.(9665 inhabitants)
• It is famous for its sparkling wine, named
   Blanquette . It was the first sparkling white
  in the world, which later gave birth to the
  worldwide famous  champagne .It was created by
  the monks in an abbey situated not far from here
  Saint-Hilaire.

• Limoux is also a nice place with lots of sunshine
  and activities to do all the year round.
• It is not far from the beaches that border the
  Mediterranean Sea. Narbonne Plage is the nearest.
• It is not far from the ski resorts in the
  Pyrénées.
• The River Aude allows a wide range of water
  sports such as whitewater activities, canyoning,
  rafting in the Galamus Gorges
• If you like , you can also spend an afternoon in
  Espéraza, very near from here, and go back into
  prehistoric times75 to 65 million years ago!
  Here we have the largest palaeontological site in
  Europe.
• Large scale palaeontological excavations have
  been carried out in the vicinity since 1980. 35
  species of dinosaurs have been found around here.
• The dinosaurs used to lay their eggs in that
  place, which used to be a vast tropical plain
• A large museum retells the life of the
  dinosaursand the largest digging area in Europe
  welcomes people for guided tours and for
  excavations.
