My program is designed to..
My program,Students Preventing Stress through
Martial Arts or SPSMA, is a four step program
designed to create an understanding of martial
arts, to promote the diversity/difference between
each martial art, to explain the importance of
music and culture, and to promote public
awareness. This is the most effective plan of
action designed not only to prevent stress, but
also to assist students by providing a way out
through the use of martial arts.

your job, find a way to relax afterwards, etc

    the end of the day

11
Step One
  • To create an understanding of the importance of
    martial arts

In order to know the importance of martial arts,
its a good idea to first understand what
martial arts are all about. Martial arts are
many things, theyre self defense, discipline,
training and hard work, and they are fun.
Martial arts helps to start friendships, relieve
stress, and promote happiness.
12
Step Two
  • To Promote the difference/diversity between
    martial arts

Martial arts are divided up into several
categories .Hard vs. soft .Circular vs.
flat .Slow vs. fast .High vs. Low EtcThere are
about twenty-two different martial arts in the
world. The biggest diversity is hard vs. soft.
Powerful, hardcore, up-in-your-face martial arts,
vs. a gentler, more evasive type.
13
Step Three
  • Explain the importance of music and culture

Music is a part of all things. In many martial
arts, Music plays an important role. In Yoga,
it is part of the find yourself process. In
Capoeira, it sets the pace for every movement if
the music is fast, then the movements are fast
and vice versa. A lot of what people see in
martial arts comes from its cultural background.
That is what makes martial arts so unique and so
wonderful.

Step Four
