- Sub-regional associations are reflecting the
theme in their conferences and meetings. - Schools are reporting what they are already doing
and engaging further with the theme. - Some schools are basing the PYP exhibition on
issues of the theme.
29Community actions Education for all
- Students from Regiopolis-Notre Dame Catholic High
School in Kingston, Ontario, Canada built a
childrens playground in the Dominican Republic.
30Community actions Education for all / digital
divide
- Students at Bali International School, Indonesia,
have developed the Taman Bacaan Community
Library in Bali, providing books and computers
for the local community - opened February 2008.

- Bahrain School students
- studied poverty in development economics in class
as part of their IB Diploma Programme economics
course.

- Bahrain School students
- did something about it in the local community
by improving living conditions for poor local
expatriate workers through - Raising funds
- Decorating an apartment for 37 people, providing
drinking water and a new bathroom -

- and brought back their experience and knowledge
to the economics classroom in considering
economic theory.
