  • Picking Up early Georgian details
  • Much larger houses than the earlier Georgian
    homes
  • More square form and open plan
  • Feeling of colonial revival houses different from
    Georgian, but the details are similar
  • Symmetrical, with classical details
  • Big, bold details
  • Porch, but using Greek revival temple fronts
  • Often see Palladian windows
  • Variations
  • Gambrel roof
  • 4-square a more modest style with a low, hipped
    roof
