12Unique Features
- The deciduous forests soil is richer than that
of the boreal forests soil. - The forests canopy is thinner than most forests,
allowing more light and heat to penetrate and
reach the plants on the forest floor. - Smaller cold blooded animals can live on the
forest floor because of the thin canopy.
13Climate Features
- The temperature range is from around 70 degrees
Fahrenheit in the summer, to around 50 degrees
Fahrenheit in the winter. - The Average precipitation is 30-60 inches a year.
- Almost all of the worlds deciduous forest is
located by an ocean.
