    set children on a course of violence later in
    life.
  • Schoolyard bullies are seven times more likely to
    become delinquents or criminals than children who

  • Present yourself as a nonaggressive model.
  • Do not use threats of aggression to win
    obedience.
  • Dont act with violence.

  • Ensure that your classroom has enough space and
    appropriate materials for every student.
  • This will prevent overcrowding.
  • Remove materials that encourage personal
    aggression.

  • Make sure students do not profit from aggressive
    behaviors.
  • Comfort the victim of aggression and ignore the
    aggressor.
  • Use reasonable punishment.
