  • Open PowerPoint document
  • insert a static picture in the centre of the
    page, e.g. a tree
  • on the left hand side of the page, insert
    another object e.g. a man walking a dog

  • On the HOME page (PowerPoint 2007) go to NEW
    SLIDE
  • Select DUPLICATE SELECTED SLIDE
  • (You will notice in the left hand column
    that you now have cloned your first slide)
  • Now, click on man walking dog in this second
    slide
  • Using right arrows move the picture one pace to
    the right
  • Repeat steps 4 to 7 until the man walks the dog
    off the page.

  • You can check the progress of your animation by
    scrolling through the strip story board in the
    side panel at any time OR
  • By playing your slide show by clicking SLIDE SHOW
    ICON in the icon on lower panel of PowerPoint. OR
  • By clicking the SLIDE SORTER (middle icon beside
    SLIDE SHOW icon on lower panel of PowerPoint.)

  • Now, as you experiment with a variety of
    pictures, scenes,
  • still and animated pictures, you will also
    discover in the SLIDE SHOW tab the various
    possibilities using set timing, rehearsed timings
    and if you like, narration.

  • In Clip Art you will discover backgrounds that
    you can insert so that your characters can travel
    down roads and along pathways as well as along
    rivers. skateboarders can do flips and turns,
    cars will crash as you insert pictures on both
    sides of your screen. You will make eggs will
    grow in size, crack and reveal hidden treasures.
  • Then, as you experiment with a variety of
    pictures, scenes, still and animated pictures,
    you will also discover in SLIDE SHOW bar the
    various possibilities with timing, rehearsed
    timings and if you like, narration.
  • The world of animation is now your oyster. Now,
    everything is possible.
