What Do Horses Eat?
  • Horses enjoy short, juicy grass. They also eat
    hay (dried grass). Good extra energy food for
    working horses are are barley, oats, maize,
    chaff, bran. If in a field horses will graze on
    grass most of the day.

Where Do Wild Horses Live?
  • Wild horses in North America live on islands off
    the Atlantic cost. They also live on Assateague
    island, Shakleford Island, and Cumberland
    Islands. They also roam through 11 western
    states that include Nevada, Wyoming, Utah,
    Oregon, California, Colorado, Idaho, Arizona,
    Montana, North Dakota and New Mexico.
