Ontario have been awaiting a true celebration
of Celtic Music.
Well, it has arrived!

The Celtic Connection inaugural concert
series! Location The fabulous Bambu By The Lake
(formerly the Bamboo Club Queen
Street) Specifically chosen due to atmosphere,
their love of World Music and location.
Bambu by the Lake is located on Toronto's
waterfront at 245 Queen's Quay West, east of
Spadina Avenue, west of Harbourfront and the
Toronto Island Ferry.
Parking is available at Skydome, the Air Canada
Centre, the Radisson Hotel and Harbourfront
Centre.Bambu by the Lake is accessible by TTC
take the Spadina LRT 510 from Union or Spadina
subway stations.

series! The crescendo will come on August 13th at
the Bambu-by-the-Lake Building up to this date,
the bands will be playing independently at
smaller Toronto venues including Allens,
Scruffy Murphys and Dora Keoghs

When will the Celtic Connection concert be?
Wednesday, August 13th commencing at 730
p.m. Purposely on a week day evening, respecting
the schedule of cottagers and attracting business
to use this as a client appreciation event.

Each band will play a 60 minute set with an
intermission between, followed by a joint
session.

The Performers
Calasaig is a five piece Scottish band, playing
traditional music and songs from Scotland,
Ireland and England as well as many of their own
compositions. They are making a significant
contribution to one of the most engaging music
genres of our time.

Rob Adams The Herald (Glasgow) May 2002. Calasaig
is one of the Scottish traditional music scene's
hardest-working young groups, with acclaimed
appearances at home and abroad Kirsten
Easdale's clear, comely singing the tunes show
much prowess and promise it's Williamson and
Easdale's songs that will have you reaching for
the replay button.

Pipeline
This duo of Dermot Hyde and Tom Hake play some
amazing tunes that will have your foot tapping
whether you want to or not! Based in Munich,
they travel the world delighting audiences
wherever they play. Paddy Moloney of the
Chieftains says This excellently made album is a
must for any lover of the uilleann pipes and
whistle, with wonderful playing by Dermot Hyde.
Definitely one to have in your collection.
