Sort gating This will exclude dead cells and
any non-singlet cells. Total sort count
Accumulated number of events passing the last
sensor before the collection tube. This number is
the highest possible number of cells in the sort
collection tube. Discrepancies higher than 20
between this number and any subsequent cell count
by researcher may indicate loss due to improper
sort stream alignment, subsequent spin-down of
cells out of sort buffer, subsequent post-sort
preparations, or cell shattering upon impact with
sort collection tube.

8QC for all detectors
Manual QC has been replaced with CST. Reports
will be included for next sort, named as
Cytometer Performance Report in clients
FileServer folder for the specific sort in
question. This is the next generation in Aria
sorter manufacturers automation of quality
control testing. CST was made possible by EVC
Flow Cytometry Cores decision to participate in
beta testing of the manufacturers upcoming
software upgrade for the Aria.
