6General comments
- Accuracy
- - Overall OK.
- Some of you did not mention/explain the
limitation of your ideas. - Some did not mention/explain the merits of your
ideas - Quality
- Overall, the strengths are the generation of
ideas but. - Too many ideas, but too little description and
elaboration. - No clear structure
- Not many groups manage to relate their
assignment with the ideas they have learned in
class about environmental ethics (e.g. at least
the three perspectives of environmental ethics
scientific, morality, aesthetics religion SD) - Not many groups associated their ideas within
the context of UM. Some of the ideas are too
general (and therefore, less original). - Creativity
- Producing a documentary
- Conducting surveys
- One minute video on the use of polystyrene
- Short play
- Wearing green.
- Short quiz (and giving a prize)
Extra marks for asking question to Alam Flora -
Good job!

11EXAM TIPS
12Exam Tips
- Remember the definition of concepts or ideas I
have introduced in the lectures (e.g.
environmental philosophy, anthropocentrism) - Make sure you understand the idea behind
sustainable development - There is a reason why I have allocated one
lecture and tutorial period for Wangaari Maathai.
- It would be good for you to ponder on how the
religious traditions in Malaysia (easiest, think
about your own religious tradition) could inform
ones environmental ethics.
Any other questions?
