Characteristics

• Muddy brown, flattish with long tail, diamond
  shaped, up to 5 feet across, with white belly.
• The Southern Stingray is a common sea- animal.

Habitat

• Warm, sandy, and muddy shore bottoms along the
  ocean coast from New Jersey to Brazil.

Predator/Prey

• A stingray eats crabs, shrimp, clams, fish, and
  worms.
• Large sharks, like Lemon sharks and Hammerheads,
  hunt it.
