  • Provides evidence of success to give funding

Has your test administrator been chosen?
  • The county contact selects the test
    administrator.
  • Make sure you call your contact and find out the
    persons name and number

What are the important dates for collecting and
sending WJ-III data?
  • Pre-testing
  • June 29-30th
  • Data from pre-testing sent to Morgantown
  • July 2nd
  • Post-testing
  • August 6-7th
  • Data from post-testing sent to Morgantown
  • August 10th

How do you choose who takes the WJ-III?
  • Sample should be 10 12 students
  • The percentage of students in your sample should
    match the percentage at your site in the
    following categories
  • Male/Female
  • Free lunch
  • Reduced lunch
  • Ethnicity
  • Experience in Energy Express
  • Individualized Education Programs

For Example
  • If 50 are male and 50 female, 5-6 children
    should be males and 5-6 females.
  • If 70 receive free or reduced lunch, 7-8 should
    receive free or reduced lunch.
  • If 5 are minority, 1 child should be a minority.
  • If 30 have been coming for more than 3 years,
    3-4 should be represent this group.
  • If 20 have IEPs, 2-3 should have IEPs

What to tell the kids who are taking the WJ-III?
  • They are helping Energy Express tell others how
    they help children read.
  • They are helping Energy Express offer fun reading
    programs for kids each year.
