  • Pilot projects began Feb. 2007, ended June 2007
  • Limited participation and project completion

  • 1 full-time, 1 part-time, and 1 half-time
    researchers were hired to provide research
    support for all funded projects, but especially
    those over 20,000

  • 1 full-time permanent and 1 full-time hourly
    researchers provide support for BSI funded
    projects

  • Project management is the discipline of planning,
    organizing, and managing resources to bring about
    the successful completion of specific project
    goals and objectives.

Challenges of Project Management
  • The primary challenge of project management is to
    achieve all of the project goals and objectives
    while honoring the project constraints. Typical
    constraints are scope, time, and budget. The
    secondaryand more ambitiouschallenge is to
    optimize the allocation and integration of inputs
    necessary to meet pre-defined objectives.
