2The City of Rosenberg has experienced rapid
growth over the past two years, moving from a
central downtown and residential area to a broad,
more diverse commercial area with multiple
satellite residential subdivisions and several
multi-family areas. Without the benefit of a
zoning ordinance, code enforcement has a
challenge to maintain the quality of life the
citizens and city leaders want and expect.

4Date Column
- Allows for searching by complaint date.
- Allows for sorting by chronological order.
- Provides for a running history on a property.
5Complaint Class
- Allows for a brief description of the type of
complaint for faster searching and case locating.
6Description
- Allows for a detailed entry of the specific
violation with room for locations, license plate
numbers, violation proximities, etc.
7Referred By
- Allows for complaints to be tracked, searched and
sorted by the individual who reported the case. - This is especially helpful when complaints
originate from the Mayor, City Council Members or
a particular citizen.
8Subsequent ActionItems and Dates
- This feature allows you to document action items
and dates. - It provides a history and timeline on what
progress has been made on the property. - It also allows users to see what phase the case
is in.
9Results
- The results field allows for a detailed
explanation of the final findings. - If a case is closed, it allows for a description
of corrective actions taken to dismiss the case. - If the complaint was unwarranted, it allows for a
description of findings at inspection for
dismissal.
10Recently the city created a new position Citizen
Relations Coordinator with its primary function
being, the tracking of all citizen complaints,
including code enforcement. The City has added
the Code Enforcement Tracking Spreadsheet to our
Intranet where all City Employees have access to
easily track the status of any case.
