We think we have some good ideas to contribute to
Best Cookie Selling Practice because we work as
a team.
2We would like to introduce you to our Girl Scout
Troop 808.We ranging in age from 14 to 17. Our
troop is unique because we have girls from
Remsen, New Hartford, and Utica . Troop Leader

4Discover our team goals
- Our team has three goals
- Teach younger Girl Scouts about the things they
need to know about selling girl scout cookies
while review them ourselves. - Give back to others by making quilts for orphan
children in Peru. - Planning an educational trip to New York City
by considering a financial budget and individual
and team cookie goals.
5Connect
- In order to reach our goals, we met to review
selling strategies, schedule unit cookie rally,
schedule booth sales/ tailgate sales, assess
teams strength and talents. We all like different
things about selling cookies. Here are some of
the things we like about cookie sales.

help plan and implement the stations at the rally
insuring that girl learn the basic of cookie
selling.
8We taught about Safety tips!
Girls dressed up, walked the red carpet and
we took their pictures.
We helped with Goal setting.
We did cookie tasting to know our product!
We did a mock cookie booth sale to teach how to
deal with selling situations.
9Take Action Philanthropy Project
We used our time and resources to make quilts for
children of the New Hope Childrens Home in Peru.
Each girl made 1-2 quilts to donate to the
children. We donated cookies too!
10Take ActionTroop trip plan
- We used the Goal Setting e-tool while planning
our trip to NYC. We considered transportation,
lodging, food and entertainment. We reviewed our
money plan. We looked at our savings, fund
raising with QSP/cookie and other ways to raise
money.

- One of our top ideas is a tail gate sale - going
door to door with the cookie in hand!

- Advertise on the car that you go door to door.

We decorated the car with window paint to tell
customers about the product.

- Leave door hanger with a Sorry we missed you
given details of cookie sales and troop leaders
number! - Speak to businesses asking them if you can do a
booth sale or cookie party.

- Building a customer base - Send Thank you notes
to all customers thanking them, advertise for
future sales, and telling them the troop and
individual goals! Make it personal!
18Our troop has achieved the three goals that we
set! Action We made quilts and sent cookies to
children in need. Learning We helped implement
the Unit Cookie Rally, which helped us and the
younger girls review valuable cookie selling
techniques and safety tips.
19Financial Planning We used e-tool to make a
budget, set appropriate sale goals for the troop
and individuals. We worked on perseverance by
continuing the cookie sale after the initial
order. We continued to take order and track our
progress. We scheduled additional sale
opportunities.
