Questions trustees should ask
  • Does our projected income meet our projected
    costs?
  • Are we overly dependent on any one source of
    income?
  • Is our fundraising income projected on a
    realistic basis?
  • What assumptions, what risks?
  • What investment is needed?
  • What support is needed from the board?
  • What is the cost/income ratio?
  • When will plans be reported on? (Dont leave it
    to the end of a campaign ask for progress
    reports)

  • we dont meet our targets?
  • our targets are met but later than expected?
  • Are fundraisers trained? Are contracts with
    professional fundraisers and commercial
    participators robust and well managed?
  • Are we complying with legal requirements?
  • Is our reputation being protected?
  • Are we a member of the FRSB best practice scheme?
    If not, why not?
