Initial Roadmap Findings

• Alignment around core values and high level
  ministry priorities
• Ministry has outgrown structure and resources
• Clarity needed on what we do well together and
  what we do better separately
• There is a desire
• To stay connected
• For simplified governance and decision making
• For improved pastoral staff accountability
• For a greater say at leadership and
  congregational levels

Where are we headed?

• Propose to create a Board to oversee the affairs
  of the Church
• Inaugural phase up to 12 months guide transition
  to an incorporated organization
• Board responsible for
• Vision, mission, core values, strategy, direction
• Overall spiritual healthiness and essential
  doctrines
• Senior staff and executive functions
• Lead Pastors to actively participate with Board
• Proposal has received approval from each of the
  Congregational Leadership Teams
• Requires formal approval of Membership at Annual
  General Meeting June 17

Board Nominations

• Selected by qualification not representation
• 8 to 12 members, serving 3 year term, maximum 6
  years
• Mature Christians committed to the church
  capacity to think strategically previous board
  experience preferred
• Executive pastor as ex-officio, non-voting member
• Letter to all congregants - nominations due April

• ILT to interview candidates and recommend slate
  to Annual General Meeting, June 17
