• The University is one of the largest in the UK,
  with over 22,000 students and over 2,500 members
  of staff
• The University is divided into 11 specialist
  schools which undertake teaching and research

• It is a top-up programme, which leads to the
  award of a full UK Bachelors degree
• All teaching is delivered by UK staff
• The block delivery mode allows better time
  management for both study work. Students work
  on one module at a time
• Teaching learning is interactive which includes
  group project, workshops, case studies, in-class
  discussions etc

• We have track record of excellent students
  performance. Two graduates in 2004 obtained
  First Class Honours and one of them was given the
  Institute of Directors Prize
• Financial subsidies are provided for students and
  they can obtain the maximum of HK10,000 under
  the Continuing Education Fund (CEF) Scheme

• The programme is run over a period of two years
  in Part-Time mode
• Each module is allocated a block of about seven
  weeks

• We are aware of this problem and actively assist
  you to become comfortable with learning

Preparation

• Preparation is the key to success in learning
• Your modules are designed so that you receive
  materials in advance of the lecture, and this is
  for you to familiarise yourself with the subject
  before the lecturer arrives

• Modules will be presented and assessed in
  different ways
• The first thing you will notice is that your
  tutor respects your existing knowledge and will
  endeavour to build upon your professional
  experience
• The emphasis is upon your learning rather than
  upon teaching

  information
• In this way you learn more than simply listening
  and taking notes
• You may not be used to this, but at university
  level it is more effective
