Welcome!!!!!!!!
  • Our primary goal is to teach every child-from the
    physically gifted to the physically
challenged-how and why they should keep
    themselves healthy throughout their lifetime.
  • In our PE program, we provide learning
    experiences that are developmentally appropriate,
    and that increase physical activity.

3
To Achieve This Goal We Will
  • Include a balance of skills, concepts, game
    activities, physical fitness, and dance
    experiences.
  • Provide experiences that encourage children to
    question, integrate, analyze, communicate, apply
cognitive concepts, and gain a wide,
    multi-cultural view of the world.
  • Teach activities that allow children the
opportunity to work together to improve their
emerging social skills and positive self-concept.

4
To Achieve This Goal We Will(Continued)
  • Provide ongoing fitness assessments as a part of
the process to help children understand, enjoy,
improve, and/or maintain their physical health
    and well-being.
  • Grade decisions on ongoing individual assessments
of students as they participate in physical
    education class activities.
  • Design our classes so that ALL children are
involved in activities that allow them to
    experience the joy of movement.
