Some of the Asian youth in Canada are new
immigrants and refugees who cling so strongly to
their own cultures that their beliefs have not
changed very much since their arrival here.
Others, though belonging to a visible minority,
know little of our ancient traditions and values
and therefore cannot be expected to follow the
strict expectations of their ancestors. Arani

Our Objective
We hope to use our collaborative research, and
the Acadia Advantage, to work with our community
partners to break down existing negative gender
stereotypes. We then hope to build positive
gender representations for Canadian Youth. We
have some very exciting ideas, and look forward
to working with you over the coming months.
